He's a sweet boy that we got from North Ogden. Very smart, level headed and laid back. At the moment we are feeding the Dr. Pitcairn's diet which consists of feeding a lot variety. This week it's oatmeal, eggs and milk with a supplemental "healthy powder". We fed Pray Model at first but it was very expensive for us and we couldn't find much variety as the cheapest option (chicken) was already above our budget.
Over the past few months we've realized he must not be getting much from the grains in his diet. We've tried the variety so it isn't just one grain, but several that just goes right through him. They come out almost the exact same as they went in. So we have decided to switch him back to Prey Model. Luckily we have moved (we were living in Provo, Utah where there was only one butcher and still pretty expensive for the dog mix). We are now in Longmont, Colorado where there are butchers galore! We are also in a very strong "buy local, buy organic" community so everything is fresh and organic. We have found a butcher that will supply with 100+ lbs. a month for $60! And for such high quality meat, how could we NOT switch back to prey model?
