Research into extending the lifespan of dogs and cats

There are 3 research projects going on.

These are all under the Long Living Research Projects, and some pet owners are taking part in more than one. There is no cost to take part in these projects, all I want in return is the documentation of your experience. I want to build an archive of cases that will show the amazing benefits of feeding pets the right food and how to prevent and treat cancer by using a natural approach.

1 - The Odin Project (feeding raw)

This is a research project that follows and documents 3000 plus dogs and 200 plus cats that are all being fed raw, natural food (meats and bones). This project has been going on for over 16 years (phase 1 with 80 dogs) and included my dogs. After becoming completely sure that this was a safe and beneficial way of feeding, I expanded this project to include other dogs from around the world. I have written a book based on what I learned these 15 years.

Next step is Phase 2. I will add 10,000 dogs and 5000 cats to this project and follow them for the next 15 years. Then, I will have 30 years worth of thousands of real-life, documented cases showing how raw food benefits the life and longevity of our pets. This will be the most comprehensive research into raw feeding that has ever taken place.

 I want you to participate

Anyone feeding raw is welcome to join this project. This started as a project with giant breeds like Great Danes, but I have now involved any size dog. The only requirement is that the dog is eating raw meats and bones.

2 - Cancer Prevention (using a natural protocol)

I believe the risk of cancer can be reduced dramatically in dogs and cats. Currently, 60-70% of dogs get cancer at some point in their life, most of them between the ages of 6-12. This is not acceptable. Of all the dogs with cancer that I have dealt with, 99% have been fed commercial dog food, mostly dry kibble of some sort. I rarely see dogs on a raw food diet get cancer. That is a strong indication to me that a poor quality diet may contribute to the development of cancer in dogs and cats since poor diets lead to a compromised immune system. This research will indicate whether I'm right about this or not. I think we raw feeders have seen enough evidence in our own pets to predict which direction this will go. 

I started a project where I follow dogs and cats on a raw diet that take also add a few vitamins I suggest. I'm very curious to see if any of these dogs ever get cancer. Statistically, over half of these dogs should get cancer, but we'll see about that. If you follow my suggestions on how to reduce the risk of cancer, I hope you will participate in this project.

3 - Cancer Help (using a natural protocol)

During my research into raw feeding and helping others switch to raw, I have come across many pets with cancer, and I discovered a natural way of beating cancer that has made such an impression on me – the results are nothing short of amazing. I can no longer keep this to myself, and I'm sharing my findings in order to try to save more pets stricken by this horrible disease. It's nothing new; this vitamin has been known as a cancer-fighting vitamin for hundreds of years. This project tracks and documents the stories of pets that are given this vitamin. I hope this community can be a place where pet owners can find help and support from others in the same situation. I have also added other cancer products to my arsenal of fighting cancer in pets. If your dog has cancer and you want help and support, please join this research project.

After you register, I will create a private forum that you and I only have access to. We will communicate through this forum; this way I can easily keep everything in one place and access the history of each case quickly. This will also serve as a documentation of each case.

New project - A treatment and recovery center. 

I'm opening a small research center with my Veterinarian. We will treat animals with chronic diseases using only natural protocols. We have over the last 10 years tested over 50 different nontoxic products with mixed results. Some worked very well some did not. I also have several in my research testing products that I have tested on my animals first. The results are all over the place. It is difficult to draw any solid conclusions when I do not know exactly what is going on in each case. The are many factors involved some are:

• Type of food and the mix of it
• Vitamins administered
• Environmental situation, exposure to toxins and chemicals
• The amount of exercises provided
• Vaccines and the history of it
• Medication administered
• Flea and tick products administered

There are too many variables that I can't control, therefore to better manage these I need to do this hands on and carefully documenting everything I administered and feed. That's why opening a research and treatment center is so important to me. 

I'm all about helping as many pets as possible and I think I have found a way to do that. I will share everything I do so anyone interested can follow along with each case. My goal is to educate pet owners so they can duplicate my approach regardless of where they live.  I will install cameras everywhere that will run 24/7. Each dog and cat that we help will have their own webpage which will be updated on a daily basis with what they are given when it comes to food and supplements. I think this will be interesting to many and a real live proof of what is working and what is not. I promise 100% transparency. My goal is for everyone to learn and apply these protocols to their own pets.

On the registration form, fill out the fields that apply to you. This will create a user profile with your information and your pet's information. After registration, you will have access to the forums where you can post updates on your pets. This is the only way I can keep track on everyone I help and reply in a timely manner.

Also if you have the means, any donation to this study would help me to keep going and add more pets. I want to add cats to this study too, but as of now I do not have the time. I have to work jobs that actually brings income to support my family and fund my research. I currently fund these projects out own my own pocket and from donation by pet lovers, since I so far has not been able to secure funding. I know these are challenging times financially for us all and making donations are not possible for everyone. Therefore I have set the minimum to $1.00. For me every dollar counts :-)
